The Met Gala

So this year’s Met Gala caused quite a stir with the chosen theme #Chinathroughalookingglass. Some used their creativity to their advantage, some took it too far and some just got it all wrong! Here’s a look at some of the highlights and fails…

1) Beyoncé

Beyoncé went brave to this years Met Gala. Dressed in custom-made Givenchy she certainly turned heads. This jewelled body con dress was nothing short of a statement, she was curvy in all the right places and definitely wore it well! You go B’ !

2) Rihanna

Now this ensemble of Rihanna’s got quite a mixed reaction from the crowds and inspired many creative memes online. Could Rihanna possibly be the only person who could pull it off? Her makeup and hair were flawless but I think the fans are still split on her choice of attire..

3) Kendall Jenner

Its hard to believe that Kendall is only 17. She looked absolutely picture perfect in this Calvin Klein emerald gem. It fell beautifully on her, with some inserts at the sides and understated hair and makeup, just naturally gorgeous!

4) Rosie Huntington Whiteley

Now Rosie is by far my winner. Can we all please hail this absolute princess! She looked breathtaking dressed in Versace, her hair, her makeup, the dress.. everything. No amount of words in this small extract could do her justice!

5) Karen Elson - worst dressed

Unfortunately it would be no fun if we didn’t spot the one who just got it all wrong. This year goes to Karen Elson who chose Dolce & Gabana for all the wrong reasons. Yes she had a theme to work with but this ensemble just does nothing for her.. better luck next year Karen!
