4,000 trucks a day to use M28 upon completion
4,000 trucks a day will be using the M28 upon its completion which is just one example of its importance to further prosperity in the region.
That's according to Cork Chamber of Commerce who say that the route will be worth €22 billion to the Cork economy.

The controversial motorway was give the green light by An Bord Pleanála in recent weeks despite strong objections mounted by locals who raised concerns about increased traffic volumes, and air and noise pollution.
However speaking to RedFM News Thomas McHugh of Cork Chamber of Commerce says the motorway is needed to ensure that Cork has the infrastructure necessary for economic growth:
Meanwhile a group opposed to the construction of the M28 will hold a meeting on the issue on Thursday evening
The M28 Steering Group is planning a legal challenge to prevent the planned Cork/ Ringaskiddy motorway from going ahead.
The group represents up to 10,000 residents in the area some of whom fear the €180 million motorway will have a negative impact on their quality of life.
