A new bank is planned to open on the northside of the city
Permanent TSB is to open a new branch in Blackpool as part of a restructuring plan which saw the closure of six banks across Cork since 2010
Fears have been raised in recent months due to the lack of banking facilities north of the Lee following an announcement by Ulster Bank that it intends to close it's branch in Blackpool.
The Evening Echo reports Permanent TSB have proposed to open in Blackpool Shopping Centre adjacent to the Ulster Bank branch that is due to close.
