Budget 2018 Criticised By Opposition
Budget 2018 has been heavily criticised by opposition who accused the Government of failing abysmally in providing for housing and health.
However Finance Minister Pascal Donohoe allocated more than €1.8 billion for housing next year, promising 3,800 social houses for next year.
The Minister also announced a further €500 million for direct building which he hoped would lead to an additional 3,000 newly built social houses by 2021.
