Buzz Aldrin to speak at Space University in CIT this summer
The second man to set foot on the moon, will be setting foot Leeside this June.
Dr "Buzz" Aldrin will host the 30th International Space University this Summer at the Cork Institute of Techonology.
Buzz is one of only 12 humans to have walked on the moon, following his Apollo 11 mission in 1969 with fellow astronaut's Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins and he is one of the leading advocates for a human Mars mission.
It's hoped his visit will inspire new generations of students across all of the STEM subjects to participate in all aspects of the space programme and enterprises.
