Calls for the governemnt to accept more refugees into the country
The call comes from Anti Deportation Ireland ahead of a demonstration in the city.
Anti Deportation Ireland are holding a demonstration this hour outside the offices of European Affairs Minister Dara Murphy on Camden Quay.
They are calling on the government to increase the number of refugees being accepted into the country and for the Cabinet to prohibit US planes from passing through Shannon Airport.
The call comes as Ireland plans to welcome 4,000 refugees into Ireland.
It's expected they will not be placed in the direct provision system and could be set to avail of English language training.
Speaking to RedFM News, Joe Moore from Anti-Deportation Cork says refugees coming here should be able to access both employment and education.
