CHASE Unphazed By Further Delay To Decision On Proposed Incinerator
The Group opposed to the construction of an incinerator in Ringaskiddy, say they have become used to delays in decision making over the past 16 years.
Cork Harbour for A Safe Environment made the comments following news that a decision on Indaver's proposed €160 million euro development has been delayed once again.
An Bord Pleanala was due to issue a verdict on the facility in July last year, and this is the fifth time the decision has been deferred.
A decision is now expected to be announced on September 12th.
CHASE dispute figures submitted by Indaver on effects of dioxin levels to the surrounding area and say plume heights have been grossly underestimated by the waste management company.
Speaking to RedFM News CHASE Spokesperson Linda Fitzpatrick says An Bord Pleanala have been given sufficient information to merit a refusal of the facility:
