Claims That Several Women Were Treated For Micro-Invasive Cancer Without Being Informed By Doctors

There are calls for clearer communication concerning cervical cancer diagnoses

It's claimed several women have been treated for a micro-invasive form of cancer, but were never informed by their doctors.   

A report from the Irish Independent says the women only found out after they were contacted as part of a review led by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

It is understood that in some cases the cancerous cells were discovered and removed while women were undergoing a procedure.
