Construction Industry Federation Say Ireland 2040 Plan Will Attract Emigrants Back To Ireland
Increased employment in the construction industry will attract emigrants back to Cork.
That's the view of the Construction Industry Federation, who predict the Ireland 2040 Plan will create thousands of construction jobs in the city and county.
170,000 construction jobs were lost between 2007 and 2014 , with thousands leaving the country to seek work elsewhere.
The CIF says that while it can be difficult to lure emigrants back to Ireland for reasons such the cost of car insurance, there will be jobs for those wishing to return.
Speaking to RedFM News, Conor O'Connell from the Construction Industry Federation says the future looks bright for construction in Cork
