Cork City Council Have Sought Legal Advice In Relation To Tents That Have Been Pitched On Patrick's Quay
An eviction notice was issued to those living in tents on the quay this week
It's been confirmed to RedFM News that Cork City Council have sought legal advice in relation to tents that have been pitched on Patrick's Quay in recent months.
An eviction notice was issued to those living in tents on the quay this week after concerns were expressed by those living and working in the vicinity about an increase in anti-social behaviour.
The local authority says this issue is not related to homelessness as those dwelling on the quay have been offered alternative accommodation but have refused the offer.
Speaking to RedFM News Lord Mayor Cllr Mick Finn says it's a difficult situation but it needs to be resolved as soon as possible as it's becoming a dangerous one.
