Cork City is not expected to be hit by flooding at high tide this evening or over the next few days.
The City Council has confirmed to RedFM News that while water levels remain high, no flooding is expected to impact the city at high tide this evening at 8.30pm.
As a result all traffic restrictions on low lying quays have been removed.
Met Eireann say the worst of the weather has passed in the wake of Storm Callum however Cork is continuing to experience heavy rainfall which is hampering the repair work being carried out by council and ESB repair crews.
The biggest difficulty around the county is with the number of trees that came down overnight as Senior Engineer with the County Council Aidan Weir outlined to RedFM News.
