Cork County Council Waiting For Clarification On Proposed City Boundary
Cork County Council is awaiting clarification from the Housing Minister on the proposed city boundary.
The party leaders on the Council took the unprecedented step of writing to the Minister to express their concerns about the Cork Local Government Implementation Oversight Group whom they accuse of being solely focused on the extension of the city boundary..
The county councillors are seeking urgent clarification on the role and terms of reference of the IOG as they say the group is not open for discussion or negotiation and as a result they feel precluded from presenting any alternative boundary alteration for consideration
Speaking to RedFM News Fianna Fail's Seamus McGrath says he hopes to get a swift response from the Minister
