Cork Driver Arrested In UK After 15 People Found In Truck Is Released From Police Custody
An Irish man arrested in the UK yesterday after 15 people were found in a truck owned by a Cork-based Haulage firm has been released.
15 men aged between 16 and 30 were discovered in the back of a lorry owned by a Delaney Transport International on the A350 road in Wiltshire yesterday.
The 55 year old driver had traveled from Calais to Dover via Ferry and was driving towards Pembroke when he stopped to investigate a knocking sound from the trailer.
One of the men found in the truck was taken to hospital.
The driver was arrested in connection with the discovery but has since been released.
