Cork Set To Benefit From Significant Investment In The City And County
Cork is to receive funding for two new hospitals, a new dental hospital, €30 million towards a business school for University College Cork as well as significant investment in infrastructure, among other initiatives
That's according to Tánaiste Simon Coveney who made the comments following a special Cabinet meeting in Sligo where the Ireland 2040 plan is being unveiled this afternoon, outlining €115 billion of capitol spending.
Cork is predicted to be the fastest growing city in the country over the next two decades, with a population growth of up to 115,000 people and a similar growth expected for the county.
Speaking to RedFM News, Simon Coveney says Cork will also receive significant public transport funding
