Cork TD Says Government Cannot Be Trusted To Deliver On Mental Health
A Cork TD says the Government can no longer be trusted to deliver on mental health services following Budget 2018.
Deputy Pat Buckley made the comments following the announcement in the Dail that only €15 million of the €35 million euro announced in the Budget for mental health services was new money.
The East Cork TD accused the Government of misleading the public as it transpired that €20 million euro of the total has been held over from last years budget.
It comes as the Mental Health Reform report stated that €35 million euro per year is necessary in order to maintain services that Deputy Buckleysays are already stretched to their limit.
