County Mayor To Review Report By Implementation Oversight Group On Boundary Issue
The Mayor of Cork county says the County Council will give the report prepared by the Cork Implementation Oversight Group due consideration at the earliest opportunity.
The report on the boundary review was submitted to the Minister Local Government last week and was approved by Cabinet earlier today.
In a statement issued to RedFM News Cllr Declan Hurley says a copy of the report has been received by the Council this afternoon and they will give the report, and its findings, due consideration and provide further comment in due course.
The statement concludes that the report is hugely significant for Cork and its' recommendations will have profound implications for the future of Cork and will shape how the region will develop and grow in the years ahead
A special statutory meeting of the County Council has been called for Friday to discuss the boundary extension
