CUMH Aim To Reduce Numbers Waiting For Gynaecology Services to Under 1,000 By April
The target comes as the maternity hospital launches a 5 day campaign to reduce the number of women waiting by 500.
The latest figures show that number has been reduced to 2,700 from a high of 4,700 two years ago.
Consultants had warned that women's lives were being put at risk by the long waiting times and requested the Health Minister to provide four extra obstetricians, a second gynaecology theatre and more theatre time.
