Dan Boyle And Lorna Bogue of the Green Party Predicted To Take Seats In Cork City
Independent Mick Finn, Fine Gael's Des Cahill and Derry Canty, and Fianna Fáil's Fergal Dennehy all front runners in their constituencies.
Sorting is continuing in the Local Elections at Nemo Rangers GAA club.
Over 70% of all boxes in the South ward have been opened now and according to the latest tallies those likely to take a seat include Dan Boyle and Lorna Bogue of the Green Party, Independent Mick Finn, Fine Gael's Des Cahill and Derry Canty, and Fianna Fáil's Fergal Dennehy who are all the front runners in their constituencies.
It looks like there'll be a dog fight for the seventh seat in the South West ward where Sinn Féin's Henry Cremin, Fianna Fáil's Colm Kelleher and Fine Gael's Garrett Kelleher are all polling very close together.
In the North wards over 90% of boxes have been opened with tallies indicating Fianna Fáil's Ken O'Flynn and Tony Fitzgerald have polled well, Sinn Féin's Thomas Gould is also looking comfortable.
Speaking to RedFM News Fianna Fail party leader Micheal Martin says if the tallies are anything to go by he's happy with how the party has polled in Cork:
