Decision On Incinerator Deferred For An 8th Time

The decision on granting planning permission for a controversial incinerator in Cork Harbour has been deferred for the eight time.

An Bord Pleanala was due to give their ruling on December the 5th on the €160 million euro facility by waste management company Indaver Ireland.

However that dates has now been pushed out to December 19th due by the state planning agency.

CHASE, the environmental lobby group opposed to the incinerator say this date is a year and a half after the original deadline and they cannot understand why An Bord Pleanala is repeatedly failing to meet decision due dates.
