Enable Ireland in Cork is to receive €2 million in government funding
The funding is for a new state of the art Children's Centre in Curraheen
Just over a year ago the sod was turned at the seven-acre site at Curraheen which marked the beginning of a fundraising campaign to raise €7 million for the development of the centre.
Today Minister Simon Coveney confirmed that the government will contribute €2 million to the development of the facility, which includes a hydrotherapy pool, playground, therapy and sensory rooms to accommodate the needs of the current and future children with disabilities.
