Enniskeane Locals Say They've Been Left In The Dark On Solar Farm Plans
A public meeting was held over the proposed location of solar farm in the Teadies Upper area
Residents in a West Cork village say they have been left in the dark over proposals for a new solar farm.
It follows a public meeting in Enniskeane on Monday to discuss a number of concerns over the proposed location of solar panels planned for the Teadies Upper area.
Issues such as potential emissions, noise, glare and a possible depreciation of property values were all discussed with residents worried about the lack of information on how the solar panels would connect to the grid.
Representatives of the Dublin-based company Power Capital who submitted the planning application did not attend Monday's meeting.
Speaking to RedFM News local spokesperson Donal Shorten says locals are angry and will be objecting to the application:
