Firefighters Respond To A Blaze At An Apartment Block On South Terrace
Residents had to be evacuated but there were no injuries
An apartment block on South Terrace was evacuated last evening after a blaze broke out in an area of the premises.
Gardaí say the fire was confined to one small area of the premises and was quickly brought under control.
The matter is not being treated as suspicious, and it's believed that an electrical fault may have caused the fire.
There were were no injuries sustained in the incident and by 9.30pm last evening all evacuated persons returned to the building.
