Five Cork hotels among the best 25 places to stay in Ireland
Online travel company Tripadvisor unveiled the list at it's recent Travellers Choice Awards
The River Lee placed the highest of the Cork hotels at 7th in the list, Clonakilty's Dunmore House and Fernhill House were eighth and 12th, while Hayfield Manor was 15th.
The Montenotte Hotel was 20th, while there were also awards for The Blue Haven in Kinsale and Gougane Barra Hotel.
Speaking to RedFM News, Ray Kelleher from The Montenotte Hotel says being rated in the top 1% of hotels worldwide will be a big boost for Cork hotels:
"Customers still rate their stay or their experience in park, and that's I suppose that's the reward for that has been very positive even last summer when we were in a staycation market. The hotel was new to a lot of people I mean like so, getting that exposure out to the national market is very important, and hopefully long term we'll be open to international markets."
