Former Home Help Charged With Theft From House Bound Pensioner
A former home help has been charged with stealing over €11,000 from an 89 year old house bound pensioner.
47 year old Shirley O'Connell from the Lawn, Westgrove, Donnybrook, Douglas was charged with 9 counts of theft totaling €11,200 between October 17th 2016 and February 27th 2018.
Cork District Court heard that O'Connell would be entering a guilty plea and had said there was no excuse for what she had done when they charge was put to her under caution
Judge Olann Kelleher remanded O'Connell to appear again on December 10th
