Fresh Calls For Legislation Governing The Use Of Quad Bikes And Scramblers On Public Parks

It comes after a pitch on the Northside of the city was deemed unsafe to play on.

 

Large chunks of ground were dug up on the pitch at Kilmore Park in recent weeks after the vehicles were driven on it. 

Knocknaheeny Celtic were forced to postpone a match due to the damage. 

Calls have now been made for those in area to stay off the pitch with scramblers and quads as it's destroying the park and costing the club money as they have to pay to use other grounds to play games.

Speaking to RedFM News Cllr Mick Nugent says legislation is needed to prevent further damage to parks and greens across the city:
