Full Report Into The Rising Cost Of Douglas Flood Relief Plan Sought

The scheme has jumped from €6.8 to €8.6 million. 


A former County Mayor is calling for a full report into the increase in cost of the Douglas Flood Relief Plan. 

Figures presented to County Hall this week show the cost of the scheme has jumped from €6.8 to €8.6 million. 

No reason has been given for the 10% increase to the project, which includes building flood defence walls, the deepening of the river in Douglas and replacement of culvert pipes in Togher.
