Fundamania To Host "Sensory Sunday" On Easter Sunday

The autism friendly event will run from midday to 2pm for children and adults

Lights turned down, music levels lowered and rides slowed down  - it's not quite what you'd expect from Fundamania on Monahan Road - but this Easter Sunday the funfair is embracing Sensory Sunday 

Fundamania is holding an autism friendly event on the day from midday to 2pm for children and adults with sensory issues.

Patrons can expect all the rides to be slower, music levels will be lowered and there will be no lighting effects or strobe lighting in operation during the two hours. 

Suzanne O’Flynn’s 6 year old son Luke is on the autism spectrum and has sensory issues.

She told RedFM News that sensory overload can be very difficult for children to deal with and a day like this is very special as it opens all the joy of the funfair to her young son:
