Garda Investigation Underway After 'Rape' List Discovered In Cork Secondary School
A garda investigation has been launched after a list was found in a Cork secondary school.
The list contained a number of girls names - each had ticks after their names and written above this list was "The girls with the most number of ticks will get raped"
In a statement issued to Cork's RedFM yesterday Davis College in Mallow confirmed a list had been scrawled on the wall of the boy's toilets.
Davis College Mallow says the safety and well being of all of their students is their top priority
The college say the list was removed as soon as they were made aware of it's existence and spoke to all the students named on the list and answered any questions or concerns they had
The school principal Stephen Gilbert says their Social, Personal and Health Education teachers will be faciliting discussions on the subject in every class
Meanwhile the Cork Education and Training Board, which manages Davis College, says the matter has been referred to the gardaí.
Meanwhile a parent of one of the girls involved has appealed for privacy as the garda investigation continues.
