Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses Following Fatal Car Crash In Cork Yesterday
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses following a single vehicle car crash which claimed the life of an 81 year old man in Glanmire
The man, who was from the Ballincollig area, was driving on the M8 motorway northbound at Sallybrook when his car crashed through the central median and ended up in the embankment of the southbound lane
A post mortem will take place today at Cork University Hospital.
An 81 year old female passenger who was injured in the collision was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The death brings to 13 the number of people to lose their lives on roads in Cork city and county so far this year.
