Gardaí Continuing To Investigate Gathering Of 800 People At Little Island 'Car Meet'.
The gathering at the EastGate Commercial Park was broken up by Gardaí on Saturday night after they received reports that around 250 cars had parked up.
They found crowds of men, women and children with very little social distancing.
A man in his late 20s was arrested for drunkenness offences, charged and was bailed to appear in court at a later date.
One car was also seized.
Sinn Féin TD Thomas Gould says it's a shame to see people breaking rules so close to Christmas.
"What I would say to everyone is, it's all about using using your common sense and following the public health guidelines. Everyone wants to have a good Christmas. Everyone wants to meet their families. But if people are going to behave like this, it just forces us into a lock down and restrictions, and that's not what people need, and that's not what people want."
