Gardai investigate claims of vigilante group in Mahon
Gardaí are continuing their investigations after it emerged that a vigilante group was operating in the Mahon area.
It's reported that the group which was organised on Facebook is responsible for a number of serious attacks on suspected drug dealers in the area.
Concerns have been expressed about the rising drug problem in the area after a child found four bags of heroin and brought it back to his house.
The Facebook page has been removed amid fears the actions of the group could escalate.
Speaking to RedFM News local Cllr Chris O'Leary says there are better ways to combat the scourge of drugs:
