Horse owners across Cork are not meeting their legal obligations

That's according to the ISPCA who are urging owners to obey the laws surrounding microchipping of their animals

Under the new Animal Health and Welfare Act authorised officers now have the power seize distressed or neglected horses but the charity is facing difficulties in locating their owners as many of them are unchipped.  

Speaking to RedFM News Senior Inspector with the ISPCA Lisa O'Donovan says microchipping of horses is legal requirement.
