Hospitals Across Cork Endeavouring To Reinstate Services And Appointments Today
Its after SIPTU called off today's threatened strike action last night
10-thousand staff were due to walk off the job today in a row over pay rises - but it was called off to allow talks take place at the Workplace Relations Commission this afternoon.
In a statement issued to RedFM News the HSE says hospitals across Cork will contact patients directly to advise of any appointments and procedures that can go ahead today. Community services will operate a full service.
Stephen McMahon from the Irish Patients Association says concern is mounting that thousands of hospital appointments will be cancelled next Tuesday and Wednesday if a resolution isn't found:
