HSE says the ransomware detected in three hospitals this morning not connected to the WannaCry ransomware virus

The executive says up to 20 machines were quickly isolated from networks -  before it spread - with the machines replaced and the systems put back online

This afternoon, the HSE confirmed they were separate, older viruses, but the HSE says their network will remain isolated for a further 48 hours to maintain protection.

The HSE's Chief Information Officer is Richard Corbridge.
