International Conference On Climate Action To Place In Cork
It comes as the Government says it's committed to producing 70 per cent of electricity through renewable energy by 2030
An international conference on climate action will take place in Cork next month.
The International Energy Research Centre conference gets underway in Fota Island on the 10th and 11th of April.
The meeting which was launched by Minister for Climate Action and Environment Richard Bruton aims to accelerate climate change solutions
while also bringing the energy industry and research communities together over two days.
It comes as the Government says it's committed to producing 70 per cent of electricity through renewable energy by 2030.
That's up from 30 per cent currently and could see electricity bills go up as a result.
Speaking at the Fine Gael National Conference Richard Bruton said he's confident the country can rise to the challenge.
