Investigations Continue After Murder In Macroom

Investigations are continuing after a 44-year-old suffered fatal injuries at a house in Macroom yesterday morning.

Timmy Foley, who was a native of Clonakilty but had been living in Macroom for some time, was discovered by emergency services with suspected stab wounds after the alarm was raised shortly before 2am.

 

He was pronounced dead at the scene while a man and a woman who were both in the house at the time of the incident were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

 

A woman in her 40s was was arrested yesterday afternoon and was taken Bandon Garda Station for questioning.
