Irish Government's investment in childcare is the second lowest in Europe
Cork County Childcare are calling on the Government to find out from staff first hand what would assist the sector most, and where to prioritise funding
They say pre-schools and creches across the city and county are struggling to survive because of lack of investment.
Conversely Irish Parents pay the second highest fees in Europe for childcare, while childcare workers are struggling to survive on low wages.
Speaking to RedFM News Co-ordinator with Cork County Childcare Karen O'Sullivan says spending on Early Years Education must be increased to support the development of young children.
