Jack Lynch Honoured On Centenary Of His Birth
Former Taoiseach and Cork sportsman Jack Lynch is to be remembered today on the centenary of his birth.
A wreath will be laid on his grave at St Finbarr's Cemetery at 2:30pm.
Members of the Lynch family will be in attendance along with the City's Lord Mayor Tony Fitzgerald as well as past pupils from the North Monastery which the former Taoiseach attended.
Officals from Glen Rovers Hurling and Football Club will also be present to mark his accolades in Gaelic Games.
An Post have issued a commemorative stamp featuring the portrait of the famous Corkman.
