Job losses announced for Northside of the city
The Northside of the city has been dealt a blow after it was confirmed that one of the biggest employers in the area will close by the end of the next year.
Yves Rocher is to close with the loss of 60 jobs and concern has now been expressed that further similar job losses in the area could be on the cards if proper investment and attention is not given to the Northside.
Last year the French cosmetic giant announced it was to to halve its workforce at its Dublin Hill plant however the entire operation will now be gone by September 2018.
It's understood employees were made aware of the situation on Friday morning.
Speaking to RedFM News Cllr Kenneth O'Flynn says the Northside of the city is continuing to suffer from lack of infrastructure in the area.
