They've been blocking liquidators from taking stock from the stores since early in April -- arguing it should fund their layoff packages.

Shop stewards say the state should have brought in legal protections for redundancy agreements during company liquidations when it was recommended four years ago.
Jane Crowe, the workers' representative in Henry Street, says the tightened public health restrictions have made things harder for them.
