Leading Housing Charity says the Government is failing to deal with long term homelessness in Cork

Threshold says approximately 40 families are currently living in emergency accommodation for more than six months

The charity say the lack of social housing Leeside remains a cause for concern, as last month 45 social houses were offered to families, but 140 applicants entered the system.

Speaking to RedFM News Threshold Regional Manager Niall Horgan says new Government plans to tackle the housing crisis, are not moving fast enough.
