Leaving Cert Students Advised To Relax Ahead Of Results Day
Guidance counsellors are advising Leaving Cert students in Cork not to stress ahead of results day.
Up to 6,500 students across the city and county will be getting their results tomorrow, and will find out if they have done enough to get their desired college course.
An annual exam helpline is preparing for a record number of calls on Wednesday, as students get to grips with the new Leaving Cert points system.
The previous system of 14 different results has now been reduced to just 8 and the true effects of the new system will become apparent when the CAO offers are released on Monday.
However, speaking to RedFM News President of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors Eddie McGrath says students are well aware of the new marking system:
