Men more at risk of contracting cancer than women
Men are up to three times more likely to contract and die from cancer, compared to women. That's according to a new study which looked at five of the most common cancers - cancer of the bowel, bladder, lungs, stomach and melanoma of the skin. It found that Irish men are between 1 and a half and three times more likely to catch all of those cancers except melanoma, than women - and are up to three times more likely to die from them. The Head of Services at the Cancer Society, Donal Buggy, says it's primarily because of their lifestyles. Press PLAY button above to listen to the audio
