Mum Of 4 Year Old Killed By Drink Driver Disappointed By DUI Figures
A Co Laois mother whose 4 year old son was killed by a drunk driver says she's disappointed at new figures that show an increase in the numbers arrested for driving under the influence.
260 people were arrested in the first 10 days of December - an increase of almost 20 on the same period last year.
Gillian Treacy whose family front a drink driving awareness campaign for the Road Safety Authority says people need to realise one drink is too much.
She says she lost her son Ciaran to a drunk driver and no family should go through that pain.
