Munster's only private spine service has opened Lesside
Tanaiste Simon Coveney officially opened the new Orthopaedic and Spine unit this morning at the Mater Private Hospital in Mahon.
The facility offers state of the art practice standards and is expected to serve over 10,000 patients a year.
30 jobs have be created following the construction of the facility at the hospital which is now the second bigest Orthopaedic Centre in Ireland outside of Dublin.
The hospital has doubled its capacity over the past 18 months with further development and expansion plans in the pipeline.
