National Food Hub To Open In Cork
A national food hub is set to be based in Cork.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar will make the announcement today along with focusing on the need to create 80,000 jobs and 60,000 homes in the city by 2040.
According to the Irish Examiner, the national food hub will help create new products, feed into the agri food sector and help diversify Irish goods in advance of Brexit.
The Taoiseach is in Cork this morning for a post-budget Breakfast briefing hosted by Cork Chamber at Páirc Uí Chaoimh
The briefing is the Taoiseach's first major public engagement in Cork since entering office and comes just three days after the Budget and at a time when Cork businesses are reporting strong optimism about the future.
