One Person Per Week Diagnosed With HIV in Cork
The Cork Sexual Health Centre says cases of HIV are on the rise across Cork.
The centre says almost one person a week in Cork are being diagnosed with the virus.
They are calling on people not to be complacent as there are no signs of the disease dissipating, and it is important people are aware of the risks of unprotected sex.
Rapid HIV testing is available at the centre, and they are encouraging people who may have concerns to come and get tested.
Speaking to RedFM News Head of Corks Sexual Health Centre Deirdre Seery says treatment is more affective the sooner a diagnosis is made:
