Palestinian farmers are in Cork today to discuss the difficulties faced by people in agriculture during times of crisis.
A Palestinian farming couple from the West Bank have come to Carrigaline to meet with the local community and share their story about the challenges of farming under occupation in the West Bank.
Their visit comes as members of the Seanad will stage a vote later this week regarding occupied territories.
A Public discussion took place in the parish hall of St Mary's Church earlier this evening, which included the couple Fayez and Muna al-Taneeb, Senator Frances Black, a senior campaigner with Avaaz based in Palestine, and members of the community.
