Rents In Cork Rise By 5.5% In Last Year
Rents in the City have risen by 5.5% to €1,372 in the last year.,
That's according to the latest report form Daft.ie which shows rents in the County are up 9.6% to €1,031
The most expensive place to rent is in Dublin 4, where average monthly rent is around €2,500, up nearly 100% from it's lowest point almost a decade ago.
The cheapest rental market is in Leitrim where tenants can expect to pay around €616 per month.
Author of the report, Trinity College Economist Ronan Lyons says, despite this increase, rental inflation is at it's lowest level in 6 years.
He says there are a number of reason for this.
