Strict visitor restrictions at Bantry General Hospital have been lifted
The restrictions had been in place over the past 8 days following an outbreak of the vomiting bug.
All infection control measures are in place and every effort is being made to manage and contain the spread of the bug.
Management regret any inconvenience caused to patients and relatives by these necessary measures, which were taken in the interests of patient care.
People with vomiting like symptoms are advised to contact their GP by phone in the first instance and avoid presenting to the hospital's Medical Assessment Unit, Local Injury Unit and Out Patient department.
